North country Fam
Yes, I wrote very long bios and I am not going to change that, so don't suggest it.

Brian Ritchie
Owner & Captain of The Irish
Brian runs 'The Irish' with the weary confidence of a man who has seen every possible boat problem happen at least twice, usually before 6 AM. He’s part captain, part mechanic, part therapist to engines that behave like dramatic Victorian children.

Out on the dock, though? That’s where Brian becomes something more. Something legendary. Something… Dock Daddy.

Whether you need a perfectly timed dad-joke, someone to yell “THAT’S NOT HOW YOU COIL A HOSE,” or a stern-but-loving glance that straightens your soul — Dock Daddy Brian delivers.

He knows the boats, the weather, and the exact moment the the exact engine hours of at least three vessels in our little fleet. He keeps operations smooth, crews in line, and tourists convinced that the marine wildlife 'fact' he just shared is....well, a fact.

Brian’s sarcasm is his love language, his skill set is massive, and his tolerance for nonsense is impressively low. Which is exactly why the whole crew trusts him — and why 'The Irish' goes out full and returns safe, day after day.

Kathy Brennan
Owner & Office Mommy
If North Country Charters were a high-speed circus (which it definitely is), Kathy would be the ringmaster, the safety inspector, the accountant, and the exhausted mom in the bleachers whispering “I swear to god” under her breath.

Kathy is the co-owner and office manager, which loosely translates to: the person who handles everything no one else wants to deal with. Last-minute panicked phone calls? Her. Emotional support for guests who got shown up by a fish? Also her.

She keeps the entire company on schedule, alive, and shockingly organized despite the nonstop chaos that surrounds her. Captains fear her wrath. Guests love her enthusiasm. The office girls can now predict her mood swings.

Without Kathy, this company would be a floating pile of soggy paperwork and broken dreams.
